Name: Andrei Michael Lupescu
Nicknames: Andy, Wolfboy, Dog (As an insult)
Age: 18
Date of Birth: December 1st
Gender: Male
Occupation: High School Student ; Works at a variety of little shops
Heritage: Eurasian Wolf
Seed Rank: Light Seed
Birthplace: Bucharest, Romania
Appearance: Andrei is sometimes considered on the short side; standing a little under 5’8, but with a broad, athletic build. His shoulders are wider than most others as well as his jawline being a bit more prominent; giving him quite a masculine, almost rugged sort of look. His hair is just above shoulder length and strawberry blonde, though it changes in shade depending on the season, while his eyes are a startling crimson color. He’s always wearing a coat; not because he gets cold, though thats usually a factor too, but simply because he enjoys all the pockets in one.. The only other adornments he wears, is an old, worn down gold and ruby ring thats missing a few jewels; which he received from his grandfather, and a odd, small hat, tilted to the side.
Distinguishing Features: He has quite a few scars here and there; mostly little ones. There is one significant one, that starts on the left side of his throat and trails down towards his chest, though..he never mentions where it came from. Both of his ears are pierced with pearl earrings. Even in human appearance, his canine teeth are abnormally sharp and pointed; he can’t disguise it no matter how hard he tries.
Sexual Orientation: Undiscovered; Mates for life
Likes:
- Wild Animals - Over domesticated. He rather enjoys observing wildlife when he has the chance to do so undisturbed. The wild is something he hopes to never be erased from both his land and himself, so he clings tight to his feral side with both hands.
- Red Meat & Blood - As he uses blood often in his traditional cooking.. He has become quite keen on the taste of it. Its practically his lemonade. And seeing as how he eats mostly meat, most of it rare, Andrei is nearly all carnivore.
- Tea - Andrei loves tea. Its practically all he drinks throughout the day. In class, he has a nifty little thermos that keeps some warm for him. In his room, he has a proper kettle...and a few tea sets.
- The Occult - Andrei’s always had an interest in things of the occult, even when he was growing up. Magic and things of the like come quite easily to him, though, he often wastes his abilities on trivial things like love potions and good luck charms instead of putting it to better use.
- Bread - When he’s not in class, reading or sleeping.. He’s baking. Since its just an activity he enjoys and uses to relax after a hard day, he often makes too much that he can eat alone. So those he’s friends with or like, often wind up with a fresh bread basket on their doorstep every so often.
Dislikes:
- Being Ignored - Does anyone like this, really? Either way, Andrei can’t stand it. When he actually wants others’ attention, he’d like to not be ignored.. or try too hard to get it.
- Sweets - Though he does like sweet breads, things like candy, ice cream and cake, he’s never been a big fan of. He’ll have some on holidays, but otherwise he’d rather go without all the sugar.
- Strong Scents - His nose is fairly sensitive. Rather it smells pleasant or not, if its too strong, he won’t like it.
- Being Bored -Andy’s a bit of a restless soul. He always feels the need to be doing something of sorts, and can get bored of things easily, unfortunately. He does what he can to keep himself entertained, usually at the expense of others somehow.
- Being Called a Vampire - He’s quite superstitious and borderline terrified of vampiric creatures. He finds it insulting and worrisome when people call him one because of his unusually sharp canine teeth.
- Critique - He does things his way. Plain and simple. Doesn’t matter if its constructive criticism or just normal complaining; it has a tendency to get on Andrei’s very last nerve.
Interests/Hobbies:
- English Culture- He’s taken a deep fascination with the English culture; the cuisine, the literature, the history. All of it has become of great interest to him and he’s always reading books on it or trying to learn more by hanging around...and stalking following around people of British heritage.
- Romance Novels- He’s a hopeless romantic. And considering how much he loves to read; his entire study is filled with almost nothing but romance novels and fairy tale love stories. While they’re mostly British and Romanian ones, there are some from all over the world there.
- Gardening- The one thing he loves more than romance novels, is gardening. His little, shabby, rundown home is always surrounded by big, flourishing gardens. Both flowers and vegetables; even though he doesn’t eat many vegetables to begin with, he always will if its from his own garden.
Aspirations:
- To have his own pack/family; He loved his family very much when he was still a part of it.. Both just for themselves and for the warm, family atmosphere. He wants that feeling again- but this time better.
- To find his (literal) soulmate; He doesn’t want to settle for anything less, nor does he want his mate or himself to be in anyway, unhappy with their relationship or (possible) family. They should be meant for each other or not at all, in his eyes.
- To be a better man than his father was; Self explanatory. His desires for a family with the love of his life compel him to make sure it doesn’t turn out like his own family. To make sure he doesn’t turn out like his father.
Fears:
- Parasites & Bees- Parasites, flees, ticks; he doesn’t want anything to do with them, obviously. He’s even borderline paranoid of them. He dislikes bees for the simple reason that once he’s gotten a bit hyper, he’ll wind up chasing them.. And getting stung. He never seems to learn when it comes to these.
- Losing his grandfather’s ring- Its the only thing he has left of his family.. Well, the only good thing left, that is. His grandfather gave it to him when his father drove him away from home
- Never finding true love- As silly as many others might think it is, this is a very real fear to Andrei. He doesn’t want to just find a mate like most other zumans.. After all, real wolves mate for life.
Personality: Andrei is almost annoyingly cheerful the majority of the time, to most people. Even more so if he’s around people he’s used to or those he can actually bring himself to care about. He’s had a rather dark past, as others know or at least can imagine.. So one of the only ways he got himself through things, was to try and keep as upbeat of an attitude as he possibly could. After so long of trying to force it, it simply became natural to him. Practically infected by it. This led to the creation of his ability to carry on a conversation of disturbing or frightening content (by other’s standards), with a cheerful atmosphere and the biggest, genuine smile on his face. He doesn’t even seem to realize that this manner of conversing is not considered normal by most people. Its a concept that has always managed just to go right over his head. The few instances that he does become aware his attitude doesn’t match the topic.. On occasion, he’ll keep it up anyway, just to keep his conversation partner on pins and needles. It can be quite amusing.
One of his most notable characteristics that others tend to identify him by.. Is how selfish and greedy he is. If he doesn’t benefit from something, he will absolutely refuse to do anything for anyone (without special reason of course) out of the kindness of his own heart. Andrei comes first to Andrei; unless someone has proven themselves to be worth being more than second best, they will never come before him. As far as greedy goes.. He doesn’t like spending his money on things for someone other than himself usually. Nor does he like sharing what’s his. If its his, its his; If its yours, he’ll want to make it his; If it has no value, its still his, unless he no longer wants it for some reason- the Romanian’s typical train of thought when it comes to most things. Such as food, ‘treasure’ and comfortable spots; anything really, though those three are the most important to him. Though.. Those three things can include anything; or anyone.
Being a push-over in where he grew up will only serve to getting put under someone else’s foot, the Romanian’s always said. And thus, he is extremely competitive; aggressively so. From footraces to eating contests, to completing one’s work the fasts to the absolute silliest of contests; he’s always up for the challenge and always aims to win. He’s not afraid to play dirty to win, either; underhanded tricks, cheating, distracting. A win is a win; the feeling of self accomplishment is exquisite, even if it came by less than noble means. The look of defeat on his opponent’s face isn’t all that bad a prize either. On the other hand, however, if he loses by some chance.. Andrei is a terrible sport. Easily described as a ‘sore-loser’. He’ll chalk up the other’s victory to pure luck, his poor condition (even if he’s in good health) or to them cheating and refuse to acknowledge that they won; pouting and dismissing the subject by simply walking away.
One thing that a person would be wise not to do to Andrei, is to critique him. He absolutely can’t stand it and it simply puts him in a foul mood, if not completely angry. Especially if its flat out criticism. No matter what it may be concerning, he is right and you are wrong. His method is right, yours is wrong; end of story. Though he is wrong a decent amount of times like every other being, he doesn’t like being told so, even if its the ‘constructive criticism’. Andrei likes the way he is and thus sees what people refer to as constructive criticism as them trying to change him in a passive aggressive manner. Which he also hates. He has the right way and the only way, everyone else is wrong and lost. Alas.. Its no use to argue with him either. At least not if the argument stems from criticizing him; he’ll just wind up getting angry and possibly even violent. The person arguing with him should be grateful if he just storms off elsewhere.
Unfortunately.. He has absolutely no shame in most things. He’ll lie to your face without batting an eyelash; lying has become as natural as breathing to him. And as frequent. He rarely bothers to tell the truth about anything to someone unless the truth will benefit him more or he feels bad about lying to the person in question. Which is an extremely rare occasion for the Eastern European man. Andrei also isn’t shy about complaining. If he doesn’t like something, he’ll bluntly make others aware of it; regardless if it offends them or not. He sees no point in lying if he doesn’t like something; one of the few things that he won’t lie about. You can always expect an honest opinion from the man if its a negative one.
On another note, he is a hopeless romantic. He loves anything related to the idea of romance and, like lovestruck girls, spends a good bit of his time fantasizing about it. Classic fairy tales and stories of the lengths people will go to for love and for each other, have always been his favorite. He admires how these fantastical lovers can just throw everything away, all for the chance to be together. Andrei’s always enjoyed reading, this is a well known fact. But What people don’t often know about him, is that he doesn’t own a single book that isn’t a romance once. Well, beside a few agricultural and history books. He also likes love songs; both the classics and even some of the newer genres on occasion, depending on how much he likes the lyrics. Regardless of age, or his personality or past.. The concept of true love and the steadfast belief that it exists is something he can never bring himself to let go of. He feels that if it doesn’t.. Then the world doesn’t have much hope or even a point anymore.
To those who actually take the time to get to know him somewhat.. They will discover a surprisingly childish -both in attitude and mannerisms- side of him. What those who know him best, often claim is what he’s trying to cover up with his normally quirky, greedy nature. He becomes very fascinated with things that interest him, and gets almost as excited as a kid in a candy store, when given the opportunity to learn more about it. The rare moments when he’s genuinely honest, people often misunderstand as sarcasm; they’re usually unused to supposed sincerity and borderline naivety from the Romanian, that people often assume it to be biting sarcasm. He’s turned into a bit of a..wolf that cried wolf one too many times. What they’re missing.. is that he’s mostly just an over-sized puppy that acts like a vicious guard-dog whose bark is worse than his bite. One still shouldn’t offer him their unguarded finger, however..
Family:
- Younger Brother - Moldova
- Mother - Sanda Marie
- Father - Iosif
- Grandfather - Carol
Brief History: Andrei grew up in a small, happy family on a little farm out in a small town. Or so he wished. In reality, he grew up in the dirty downtown of a trashy city in a broken-down family; his mother, Sanda, his father, Iosif, and his maternal grandfather, Carol. Despite the times, his father seemed to think it was alright to physically and verbally abuse his mother from dusk til dawn; and any other woman he encountered near the home. Because of this, when he was still very little, his Grandpa Carol was the one to take care of him most of the time. His father barely paid any mind to him and his mother was busy working her soul off in order to pay to keep the family alive with a roof over their heads.
It was this early part of her childhood that shaped Andrei into who he is today. He saw the abuse and the treatment women got.. Yet, considering his grandfather’s kind and gentle ways; always trying to shelter him from the world, he never quite understood why some women were treated as such. In time, unfortunately, his grandfather’s sheltering backfired; Andrei began to dislike women terribly, having built up the belief that they must have all done something horrible and wretched to deserve such bad treatment. It was their punishment, right? His mother was the only one above this disdain for the fairer sex.
Despite the terrible conditions he lived in, he was always spoiled by his grandfather and loved by his mother; because of this, he rarely even bothered to go out of the house when he was growing up. His little family; father not included; was all the company he could ever want. Everyone else was just a nuisance, even more so if they were women, the vile creatures they are. However.. Things never remain as they are. When Andrei was 12 and being chased out of his home by his father-- maturing young men were never allowed to remain with their family in his breed; they posed too much of a threat to the alpha male-- he ran into a young Hungarian..child in his wanderings. Clearly the Hungarian was a girl. But she kept saying she was a boy. Andrei’s temper got the best of him when they were bickering and simply cut the Hungarian’s hair off with his pocket knife; claiming that if she was really a boy, she didn’t need long hair then. In return..she broke one of his canines when she punched him in the mouth. He hadn’t expected her to really really fight back. To this day, his left fang is still a little jagged and far sharper than the right, from where it broke.
When he was fifteen, he returned home, hoping to see his mother and grandfather.. However, his grandfather had passed away five months before he had arrived. ...And his mother was in the hospital; his father had finally crossed the line. So. Andrei confronted his drunken (as usual) father and demanded that he leave his mother and never return. Naturally, Iosif refused. And worse, he took Andrei’s words as a challenge. A vicious fight ensued, and to Andrei’s surprise, he knew how to defend himself a lot better than either of them had thought. His father would never lay a hand on his mother again; despite that, the proof of his deed follows him everywhere he goes. A constant reminder that he took the life of his own blood, in the form of a long, trailing scar from his neck to his chest. Iosif’s last effort to overpower his son.

A small yawn sounded from a clump of bushes at the base of rather tall plum tree. It was the only one in all of the forested area that Andrei had found.. And once he found it, he knew at once it was going to be his and his alone. After all, it had to be a sign, right? He loved plums and here it was, the only one in the city probably, with a few exceptions in personal gardens perhaps. So he’d built his little ‘bed’ at the base of its thin trunk. Nothing but a soft bedding of grass, leaves and flowers, mostly hidden by a few bushes; only one had been there before.. All the others the Romanian had pilfered from unsuspecting strangers’ yards and replanted around his tree.
While he did own a small, rather shabby..rundown.. ...borderline falling apart.. one bedroom house on the edge of the housing district (He’d practically got paid to take it off the owner’s hands) Andrei always preferred sleeping outdoors, even though he only slept for a short period of time during the daytime. But the growling of his stomach awoke him a little earlier than he would’ve liked. The Romanian made a face as he combed a few leaves out of his hair and rose to his feet, “What I wouldn’t give for an actual omelette for once..” He grumbled quietly, reaching up to pry one of the ripened plums from the branch. While they were his favorite fruit- if not the only one he liked at all - they got...boring. Especially when the plums were usually, practically the only non-meat thing he ever had.
....Dirt. Crimson eyes blinked a few times as he identified the sudden change of the scent in the air, Lots of fresh dirt.. He’d only recently discovered this new favorite spot of his, but he was fairly used to the scents of the surrounding area.. So his natural curiosity began to take over, prodding him to head off in the direction of the scent. He carefully weaved his way through the trees, glancing at the backyards and houses that were becoming visible in the distance. Andrei wrinkled his nose as he took a bite out of the plum; he was getting a little too close to suburbs for his liking. But he was curious and stubborn by nature. “Oh?” He blinked, sense perking up a little once he finally got close enough to what appeared to be source.. It was a surprisingly lush garden behind a small house.. A grin caught his lips as crimson eyes darted around from plant to plant.
If this wasn’t someone’s already, he was definitely going to mark it as his-- And speak of the devil. He mentally cursed when he spotted the brunette moving around, quickly crouching down behind some tall flowers. Grins, watching as he finished off his plum. Perhaps he’d found a decent breakfast after all.. Or perhaps just something interesting.
