So, lets point out some things I’ve had to explain. Shall we, then~?
Firstly. The spirit form is the form of the animal that the person descended from. If they are overly stimulated it can cause the spirits form to manifest. Whether it be just the tail and ears or a full body transformation.
Secondly, Retrogrades and Mermaids, are a subclass of Zuman, just like the felines, dogs, snakes, bears, and what have yous. A retrograde is some one with Ape-man parents, who was also an ape-man. Until something like a trauma of emotional or physical causes a dormant non ape-man gene to awaken. You are unlikely to see a retrograde in your life, but if you do, they are quite valuable. As they still possess the ape-man’s fertility despite returning to the form of their non-ape ancestor.
Mermaids are those that are descended of Fish. Even rarer than the Retrograde and even less likely to ever be seen. Due to the lack of them there is very little known about Retrogrades and Mermaids. But retrogrades can be quite obvious, because they lack the practice most zuman have from a young age. The practice that helps them block out others’ forms, cover their own form, and hide their pheromones. So basically, a retrograde will be at a total loss. Seeing people as their animals forms for the first time which rather frightens them, and since they can’t cover themselves, it’s like they’re walking around naked crying, “Please have me.” Also... Almost as rare as a mermaid, are the Avians; there are only a few, small family clans left.
Thirdly, you have your seeds: Flight Seed, Light Seed, and Heavy Seed. Going in that order, it is weakest to strongest. The weaker ones like the Flight Seeds have more fertility, but the Heavy seeds are rather rare in their own sense because due to lack of fertility strong Heavy Seeds are lacking but very wanted breeding partners. Light seeds is just as the name implies, some where in between. Heavy Seeds also have the ability to put a blind over their desired “female” (this is a term used very loosely, as the female is not necessarily a female.) to keep other males from being attracted to them.
Also, apes cannot see, hear, or talk about anything zuman related. They believe themselves to be the only form of human so their brains trick them into forgetting it.
