Name: Francis Renaut Bonnefoy
Nicknames: Frannie, Frenchie, Papa, Pussy Cat, Francy-pants
Age: 26
Date of Birth: July 14
Gender: Male
Occupation: Florist; Aspiring Writer
Heritage: Persian Cat - Felis catus
Seed Rank: Light Seed
Birthplace: Paris, France
Appearance: At just around 5'9" and with a lean form, he has an appearance that can easily come off as feminine. Not that he minds, he puts exquisite care into each detail that shapes him. Fair skin is usually well moisturized, limbs lined with a dainty amount of blond bodily hair - since it is natural, it's nothing unattractive to him. His hair falls in wavy locks of gold when not up in a common ponytail or braid, parted neatly around deep blue eyes and doing well to hide a small birthmark on the back of his neck. His facial composure is handsome in its own, dabbed with stubble along his jaw and with the usual composed smile. He's usually clad in the most flashy of colors and either posh or casual designer fashions.
His feline form is always nicely groomed and ridiculously full of fluff. Eyes as blue as his human form, his paw pads and nose are a light pink and his fur purely white. Naturally, he hates to get it dirty or wet.
Distinguishing Features: Only the little birthmark (no particular shape) on the back of his neck, otherwise he's free of scars and other disfigurations.
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Likes:
- Romance / Love | Falling in love with love in the city of love. He absolutely loves to see relationships bloom even if he's not involved in them, and in Paris especially, he will love to wander all corners of the city to see what makes them romantic. Whether through physical action or through words, he strides for a life goal of spreading the love to everyone.
- Roses | One such symbol of said love and romance, this favorite flower of his can usually be found somewhere on his possession - though more than likely it will end up in the hands of another as a sweet gift. He thinks they're one of the most beautiful things in the world, and their scent usual lingers lightly on him wherever he goes.
- France | Simply, he's very patriotic for his country. He ignores all accusations and stereotypes and instead focuses on the beauty of its culture, plentiful people, and all they have to offer. While he won't mind visiting other places once in a while, he's quick to grow homesick and his land will always be on his mind. So long as there aren't any obnoxious tourists, he loves having visitors.
- Sex | Though he has a shameless habit of sleeping around, he'll make sure to spoil all partners he has. He makes sure they feel beautiful and comfortable no matter how they might look, and even if it might happen to him, he won't be the type to abandon them the next morning. Sex is an art and act of love after all (and Francis's only preferred method of exercise) even if it's with a stranger. He won't mind what role or position he's in anyway, so long as there isn't any intended pain involved.
- Wine | The superior drink, especially if it's French made. It's his beverage of choice whether he needs to relax, or is just drinking it for the leisure. He loves going to breweries for taste testing, or simply sharing the drink with others whenever he has company or is on a date.
- Fashion | Seeing mannequins in store windows will be one of the most distracting things for him. He adores fashion and all sorts of different designs, trying things on, making other people model things for him. He won't mind whether the outfits he has on are masculine or feminine, whether he's wearing too much clothing, just enough, or not enough at all.
- Art | Art is another way of expressing oneself. Painting, sculptures, mosaics, or simple sketches - even if he can't do all of that, he'll enjoy observing others and viewing works in galleries. Though of course, he thinks of almost anything as a work of art. Especially nudity.
- Culture | Even if he might seem stuck on his own country, sometimes he'll be interested to hear tidbits about another nation's culture and traditions. Just as many other nations are influenced by France's culture, France is also influenced by some others. Sometimes other places will have traditional ideas that he wish he had adapted as well.
- Food | Sometimes he won't even care or pay attention to the quantities of food he's eating, so long as it's good. He'll always be proud of himself for anything he cooks, likely to share his delicacies with others to see what they think.
- Sweets | Even though he should be watching his figure, he can't help but indulge in all things sweet. Chocolate and pastries especially, his sweet tooth sparks cravings will send him seeking out only the best French shops or to his own kitchen to bake such things.
- Sparkling Drinks | Sugary sodas usually pushed aside, he rather enjoys things like sparkling water or limonad.
- Beautiful Things | The world is full of them. If he finds something particularly beautiful, no matter what sort of object it is, he'll tend to carry around or simply spend some time staring at and enjoying it.
- Bragging | Sometimes it very well will be his goal to irritate others, though regardless he'll always be shamelessly boasting a feat he might have achieved to anyone who's unfortunate enough to be around.
- Museums | Art museums in particular, since France has plenty of them. They're his way to indulge in history and admire the art he might not ever be able to do himself. He could spend hours in a museum of any sort, admiring paintings and only wishing he could take them home with him.
- Small animals | Naturally, small animals are most adorable and less threatening to him - namely small dogs, cats and birds. Especially creatures that are able to be groomed and spoiled into one of those fancy, furry pets, like Persians or poodles, that you can carry along in little purses or bags with you. He currently owns a small white bird named Pierre.
- Architecture | Even outside of France, old Romantic and Gothic style buildings and monuments are most fascinating to him. They're his favorite things to visit when he's out and about or touring another place, and sometimes he will wish he was around when all these famous landmarks were being built. He takes most pride in the Eiffel Tower, of course, and has dined inside there many times.
- Cheeses | He's possibly tried every type of cheese there is to taste, and will use the stuff on many of his dishes. It's a less flattering scent than roses, but it seems to be with him all the time.. not that he notices.
- Perfume | How many things can one man smell like? On rare occasions he will wear perfume, even in preference over wearing cologne. He believes very well that no lady or man will be able to resist the scent of sweet perfume.
- Sad Movies | French movies can be infamous for their saddening endings. He loves a movie that can bring out someone's more sensitive side, and whether or not he has someone viewing it with him he won't be afraid to show such a side with a dramatic fit of sobbing.
- Theatre | Plays and musicals are always a nice change of pace, now that cinemas are most often taking over the entertainment business. Not that he minds actual films, but plays he feels are classic and a more moving experience than anything else.
- Physical Contact | He's a very touchy person, one might think he has no sense or respect for personal space. He only enjoys touching people, innocent intent or not, so long as they don't mind it. Since he doesn't always ask first before doing it, he's used to the usual smack or so as his blatant "no" response - and that's all he needs.
- Nudity | The nude form is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, he believes. He isn't afraid to flaunt his own out in public, or during the least expected times. He even finds it charming in sculptures or in drawings, pleased to know that he isn't the only one who feels the human body is a work of art in itself.
- Bakeries | It's most refreshing to walk into a bakery and catch that whiff of fresh bread. Bread is best when it's fresh and warm after all, and he always loves to have some ready.
- Color | Everything would be so dull and without expression if there weren't any colors. He's particularly fond of eye color and comparing them to something to be flattering. He likes when colors are bright and eye-catching, so that he can be the most flashy and noticed thing in the room.
- Designs | He's always trying to design things to his liking, making clothes, homes or perhaps a hairstyle unique to his own design. Patterns are nice so long as they're matching.
- Cleanliness / Hygiene | Getting dirty isn't always that bad, though in most occasions when he's out in public, he'll want to look clean and impressing to strangers. He wouldn't want people to get the wrong idea about him, after all, if he were always in a mess. Most of all, however, he only cares that his hair is most styled and of the best presentable quality.
Dislikes:
- English things | After a bad history countering the English nation, he's always hesitant to accept anything regarding the country's culture. He won't tune out somebody because they're English, but he won't always openly embrace the culture and anything to do with it, either. English food is certainly the worst to him.
- Pain | He doesn't have a very good tolerance to pain, and the fights he might get into aren't always very strong. He prefers verbal arguing. He might pinch and poke and pull hair on an opponent, but anything that leads to bruising and bleeding is a hindrance on his poor body and skin.
- Rudeness | If someone is rude to him, he'll be rude right back. He can be a pretty snobby person after all, not at all the type of person to allow someone else to think they're above him. He thinks bullies are just attention whores, anyway.. well, he might be one himself, but he doesn't use that as an approach.
- Germs | Usually he's oblivious to the sharing of germs when it comes to exchange of contact between two people, and he's only aware of them when it comes to being near someone who's sick. That's probably the only time he'll willingly stay away from someone, out of fear of getting sick himself.
- Smoking | What a poor, terrible thing to do to one's lungs. Since he doesn't want to risk cancer or destroying his voice and lungs, he deliberately stays away from cigarettes and smoke in general. Wine isn't too good on the liver either, but its elegance totally makes up for that.
- Bossiness | Very stubborn when it comes to someone pushing and bossing him around. He's self-governed and prefers to do things on his own accord, and will be disobedient and childish out of spite for someone who wants him to do something for them. If they ask nicely, he'll be happy to oblige, otherwise they'll receive a rather bratty response.
- Bad food | He cringes at the thought of someone getting a recipe wrong or completely mangling a perfect meal. He won't touch food that isn't up to par with his tastes, and will try to govern someone who isn't very skilled with cooking.
- Francophobia | It doesn't make sense to him that someone can dislike his country. There's so much about the place that he could tell to someone, that it baffles and upsets him to think someone doesn't like it. Of course, that makes him hypocritical with his dislike for England, but this is France and he's conceited and therefore it's different. He'll be desperate and never give up trying to change someone's mind about the beauty of his country.
- Other languages | He doesn't like to learn other languages, even though he had to learn English. It's a burden and he doesn't find other accents as flattering on his tongue, since his is, of course, the language of love.
- Being called old | As much as he hates insults in general, no other insult will bother him as much as this one. He's honestly afraid of getting old, thinking of what the wrinkles and white hair might do to his appearance.. and for someone to think he's old already with his age and how he looks, it's almost a frightening thought. So, he tries to look as young and fresh as he can.
- Fire | Fire can destroy such things in an instant that he tries to avoid it. It can ruin homes and clothes and people in general, so he's usually very wary about keeping small fires under control and making sure he's not wearing anything that can easily catch fire.
- Water | With fur like his and his inability to swim, he's afraid of drowning or getting wet in general. He won't mind it so much in his human form, but when he's feral, water will weigh down his elegant fur and make him feel trapped.
- Wasting things | He makes sure to put things to their complete use and advantage before they're tossed away. Seeing food being thrown into the trash is abhorred, and he'll woe over the fact he isn't always able to save it. He'll be wise about what he spends money on and make sure nothing goes to waste.
- Rejection | Such a cold dagger to the heart. He does actually try hard sometimes to gain someone's acceptance and affection, and when he's put so much effort into trying to make someone see something, it's one of the biggest let downs to be met with rejection. If it happens, he might just close himself away for some time until he's ready to try again.
- Violence | He doesn't see the reason for using violence to get what you want. He can be a protestant person, though he'll use calmer methods to get what he wants. He does like fencing, but the use of weapons for actual harming means is something he fears, and he'll try to back out of a fight if it ever begins to spiral out of control. He hates that stereotype about French people always surrendering, of course, but sometimes he can't help but be cowardly in such situations.
- Dull colors | Colors need to be bright and beautiful if they want attention. He'll use whatever means necessary to spruce something up and make it beautiful.
- Cockblocks | He hates someone being in the way when he's trying to woo someone, unless that extra person plans on joining in.
- Bad hair days | Sometimes there can be nothing worse, and if his hair isn't looking the way he wants it to, it can drag down his entire mood for the rest of the day. He'll feel like a scrub if his hair doesn't look right, and sometimes will just put it up in a lazy tie to make it somewhat better.
- Misconceptions | Being misunderstood is always a difficult situation to get himself out of. It's too often that he comes off as someone he isn't, and sometimes he will actually fear that someone thinks he's a different, worse person than he really is. He tries to come off with good intent, though sometimes his eagerness to be friendly with people earns him a few odd stares and even worse name calling.
- Horror | Blood and gore is never an interest of his, and horror movies can easily scare him out of his mind. People can easily scare him as well if they're much larger and stronger than he is, even though he will try to negotiate with them. He'll be afraid of the dark if he doesn't have someone nearby with him.
- Big Dogs | They're so frightening the way they jump on you and slobber all over the place. He just stays away from big dogs as a whole, not wanting anyone to find out his fear toward them.
Interests/Hobbies:
- Culinary | Cooking is one of his stronger passions, considering he had begun mastering it at a younger age. Of course, he focuses on cooking every French delicacy out there and eagerly seeks learning new recipes. He enjoys cooking for himself just as much as others, especially foreign visitors who he believes haven't yet had the honor of trying his cuisine.
- Fencing | While he isn't one for maiming or physically fighting, he does have experience with handling blades; especially in the skill of fencing. He is accurate in his use of rapiers and swords, even if they aren't of much use to him nowadays. Fencing matches are interesting to watch, as well.
- Singing | He isn't the best at singing, really, but he won't admit to it. Nor will he accept any negative criticism. He'll sing when he's cooking or when he's in the shower, or really any time he feels like it, thinking he's got the most angelic voice.
- Shopping | It's irresistible for him to go out and renew his wardrobe with the new latest fashions. Not only clothing, but he'll buy anything of value, especially when it's a gift meant for someone else. Roses, chocolates, jewelry, things of that romantic sort.
- Beautifying people | He loves giving makeovers and dressing people up to look their best. Even if he doesn't wear makeup himself, he likes to apply it to others, as well as styling hair how he sees fit. Even if the person might not like how they turn out, he's always very proud of himself in the end.
- Giving Tours | Whether it's of his house or the city itself, he enjoys giving tours to people who haven't been enlightened to his culture and the like. It's like a walk through history for him, or simply the chance to give people a taste of what they've been missing out on.
- Telling Stories | He likes to read storybooks out loud, or simply tell stories that have been passed down through generations. With his love for history, he likes sharing stories of France's past as well as its various myths and folktales.
- Giving The Talk | He certainly won't censor himself when it comes to giving the talk. He doesn't mind teaching younger people about sex, regardless of their age. He couldn't care less if it embarrasses someone, since it's something he believes they need to be enlightened about during some point in their life, even better if they are informed at a younger age. That can get him in trouble sometimes, however.
- Gardening | Along with rosebushes, he likes flowers in general and will keep his gardens fresh with plentiful flower beds and arrays of color. He doesn't grow vegetables or crops much, since flowers are more so his specialty.
- Sports | Not quite playing sports, but he gets very into watching football, tennis, basketball and rugby matches. He'll be very strong and patriotic when it comes to rooting for his home team.
Aspirations:
- Fame | One of his strongest visions is seeing himself as one of the most famous, beloved, well-known writers in France. He dreams of having adoring fans and paparazzi and people begging for his autograph and to have their children.. but for now, all he has is his brewing ideas for romance novels, yet to be published and brought out to the world. He has his own little office in his home, full of paper, some written on with finished and unfinished ideas, some crumpled and thrown into the trash.
- Perfect Relationship | When he's not dreaming of that, he's dreaming of finding that one special destined person. Even though he flirts with many, he's yet to hold an actual relationship fit for marriage and the rest of his life. So long as this partner doesn't mind his continuous flirting with others, he'll be happy to settle down.
- Children | He adores children and has always wanted to be a Papa of his own, but of course, he needs to find that one perfect partner first. He's afraid of breeding with someone who he might not ever see again, since that means he might not ever see the child again, either. And not only does he want to be a father, but he's always wanted to be a big brother as well.. even if that isn't possible, he'd at least love to find someone who can act as the big brother to them.
Fears:
- Being Ignored | With all the effort he puts into being noticed and being presentable, he fears that someone will completely look past him and not recognize him at all. There's a sense of denial in him that he isn't lonely and isn't afraid of being lonely.. but really, that's something that can be easily broken. He'll tell himself over and over that that isn't true, that he's needed and his company is loved by anyone, otherwise he doesn't need them.. but it doesn't always makes matters better or lift his spirits for him.
- Becoming Unattractive | This is almost as scary as being forgotten! For someone to call him ugly would come as a shock to him, and for once he might even be worried about his appearance and that everyone else might also think he's ugly. He'll fret about this even if someone is joking around about it.
- Losing Everything | He cherishes most of his possessions and keeps them for sake of memory and even company, and fears that things that are close to him will be taken away. He can't imagine how he would live if he were on the streets, without anybody for his own, without any career or money or things of that sort. Sometimes he can take what he has for advantage and not consider those who are less fortunate than he.
- Prison | That's a lifestyle he can't imagine either, if he were confined to a solitary cell for any length of time. He tries to stay away from crime as much as he can, in that case, not that he ever considers doing anything so drastic.
- Accusation | Once again, he fears someone thinking of him as someone he isn't. He doesn't want to be seen as a pervert or a monster regarding how openly he spreads his love and affection, and what measures he takes in doing so. If that false reputation of his were to spread around, he fears what it will do to his image and everyone else's initial judgment of him.
- Electric Razors | The mere sound of an electric razor will send him running. He fears losing his hair or his stubble at the hands of someone else when he doesn't want it to be shaven, and would rather any treatment of his hair was done at his own accord and by his own hand. He wouldn't trust anyone else with a razor of any sort.
Personality:
Difficult to go without notice and not always flattering to many, this man radiates charm and charisma without having to speak a word. His appearance and outward approach is egotistical and flaunting, thinking himself flawless and perfect in all that he does. He’s precise to put in effort into a good first impression, bearing a blatantly conceited mind that leads him to believe he emits a personality everyone would love. And although that isn’t always willingly embraced by everyone, he’s forced a hardened self-esteem unto himself that allows him to brush negativity and initial judgments off like it’s nothing.
It’s evident he cares for and maintains a clean appearance, never lazy when it comes to his choice of attire in public. He’s habituated with wearing bright and flashy colors that stand out amongst the rest, in accordance with matching designs and only the most chic of styles that either match what trend is most popular, or fit in with the time of season. His hair is most well kempt above all, and while he might not mind if a speck of dirt finds its way onto his clothing, something dirtying his hair will be an atrocity. He’s a strong believer in being natural, not often one to enjoy using things such as make-up and hair products to define him - he thinks he, and anyone else, for that matter, is beautiful enough without the use of such additions. His body is laced with hair in all the right places, and he isn’t one to shy away from shedding his clothing at any time, expected or not, and go parading nude amongst prying eyes. He’s enamored with the human form and all aspects of the body, encouraging that others share his bravery in doing so. There will occasionally be a conveniently placed flower to act as a censor down between his legs, though he never quite finds reason for anyone to have to cover themselves up in such ways. Shameless of himself, he has the tendency to go on boasting and bragging about his appearance in any circumstance.
Tying in with his lack of shame, it isn’t an understatement to say he thinks very highly of himself and his home country. He finds France and all things French: the language, the culture, the cuisine, the architecture, the literature and the people to reign superior, tending to overlook any flaws and avoid the fine print in speaking of the subject. While he’s reluctant in speaking English, he takes it upon himself to initiate a heavy accent in his speech in order to hold onto something relative to his mother tongue. He will show little interest in knowledge when it comes to details of other countries, though different nationality certainly will not stop him from investing in another person. Though his self esteem is high, he won’t use it to bring someone else down by harsh judgments based on their ethnicity. His nationalism can send him into spouts of dreamy speech and longing for home whenever he speaks of it, and simply put he’s just a very prideful person about his land. Even with this sense of narcissism, he’ll be more than obliging to introduce someone else to his culture, spoiling them with the various samples and tastes of his culture.
He likes referring to his country as the land of love, and will take it upon himself to set a proper example of that. Perhaps it comes naturally, but he’s set on a very flirtatious nature when it comes to interaction. He’s broad and lenient in his choices of interest, accepting of people no matter their gender, age, size or orientation. Most often he will be awfully blunt in his speech, though at other times he will carefully choose his words in order to impress and hold somebody’s attention. He’s never one to be shy and he won’t hold back on his opinions of someone, offering compliments or something more no matter what the situation is. He doesn’t believe in any notion of strangers being dangerous, and rather he thinks that everyone who is anyone deserves a few sweet words or something of the sort to brighten their day. He tends to spoil people of interest with that sort of attention, regardless of whether or not it leaves them flustered - since a well-earned blush will only encourage him to continue rather than stop while he’s ahead. While he might be overbearing in his approach, his aspiration is simply to spread his love around to everyone, high on the belief that anyone with a beating heart needs and deserves it. And of course, sex is a very openly embraced subject. He’ll share details of his rather active and experienced sex life as he pleases, whether or not the opposing party is willing to hear of it. Since it’s a rare occurrence that he ever embarrasses himself, he’s not always quick to realize that he might be making someone uncomfortable. He’ll be entirely persistent on making someone feel like they’re loved and admired, or perhaps help them feel that they don’t need to be alone, choosing not to give up until he’s assured in himself that he’s made someone else happy.
Sometimes he’ll get so wrapped up in spoiling another, as thoughtful as he can very often be, that it will surprise him if he receives anything in return. When he is on the receiving end of compliments or gifts or things of the sort, he’ll put out the type of narcissistic reaction that says he was expecting it.. though in reality he’s very easily flattered and will be eternally grateful if someone were to ever think of him like that. He wouldn’t exactly refer to himself as lonesome, though sometimes he is in need of attention that he might not always be able to attract. He’ll be considerably childish in this aspect, for when he feels he isn’t getting enough attention or he’s being ignored, his attempt to find some will be rather obnoxious. Interrupting conversations, inviting himself into someone’s personal space, even whining and complaining. And though this comes off to others as a mere immature act, it’s stemmed off of a deep rooted fear of actually becoming lonely, and such tactics are the only reaction he will think to do. After all, he wouldn’t want anyone to know of this paranoia.
His initial judgment on just about anything is positive. He will look past the flaws of something inanimate or not, and rather bring light to what makes them beautiful - in terms of appearance, personality, emotional composition. Even things that aren't human are susceptible to this as well: flowers and foliage, animals, clothing, anything of abundant color. It’s easy for such a range of objects to catch his attention, what with how easy it is for him to become distracted. Regardless of gender, looks and anything of the sort, he sees no reason as to why one person should receive any less affection than the other. He believes strongly in equality, and doesn't take discrimination based on race, age, orientation or so. And even if he is so wrapped up in his own heritage, such a strong knack for being social of his will prevent him from overlooking someone based on such statistics as those. He’s a very talkative person, after all, and will be enwrapped in any riveting conversation with someone so long as the topics keep his interest.
However, there are some situations where a more sensitive side of him might show through. Despite what traits of him might be most active and showy, there’s a hidden tenderness to him that he tends to leave behind, susceptible to resurfacing if someone were to hit a soft spot. When not wrapped up in lewd thoughts or dreamily ogling at someone he‘s interacting with, his mind can be a more solemnly thoughtful place - even when there’s a smile on his face. Such a smile seems easygoing and constant, positive and endearing.. though it isn’t always as genuine as one might think they see. Hidden behind can be just the faintest sense of sorrow, whether it’s the result of something past, or something current that might not even directly involve him. Francis can be easily influenced by events that occur around him and to other people - even if he might not care for that person all the time, he’s a sympathetic person when it comes to emotions. He doesn’t like to see other people upset, and whether or not he can relate to something tragic that might have happened to them, he’ll do what he can to try and consult that person and relieve them from their sorrows. On sensitive, or perhaps deep topics, his words can be strong, poetic and practically philosophical when his opinion is shared. Though most of the time, he’ll only be musing to himself.
A trait of him he wouldn’t ever reveal, he does have the tendency to become envious of other people in certain situations. Even though he might think he’s good at hiding it, how he behaves with his own sense of jealousy is never very subtle. He tends to overreact to things as a whole and will be likely to cause a scene over something so small, most likely ending up in a pout when something doesn’t end up his way, or when someone else receives something he wanted for himself. While it pleases him to see other couples or friends interacting with one another, he’ll end up envious if attention he specifically seeks does not come to him. While has no wish to cause harm to others, his way of handling himself is yet another childish display of huffing and things of that nature. Though this isn’t always the case, for sometimes he can manage to be a patient man. If there is someone or something he has set his eye on and plans on taking for himself - especially if it is a relationship - he will take his time in slow steps if that seems to be the most perfect approach under the circumstances.
On a more respectable side, Francis is very supportive of other people and the decisions they make. He is of course accepting of people regardless of what orientation they choose to be, and he’s always such a fan of seeing other people in relationships. Perhaps a little too keen on watching them, sometimes, but he can’t help himself with that. He’ll be willing to offer his advice to others when it comes to the subject of love and relationships and anything in between.. of course, his advice isn’t always what people might be looking for, he might give something a little more forward and vulgar for their tastes.. But he always takes pride in what he has to tell people. He thinks he’s very expert in giving romance advice, usually not paying attention to the fact that other peoples’ love lives are often much different than his own. He’ll encourage people to express themselves in whatever method they see fit, and will make sure that no one is ever ashamed about themselves - their sexuality, their looks, their personalities, any possible trait. He has a particular soft spot for people who are shy, since that gives him the opportunity to both fawn over how preciously adorable they are, as well as assist in getting them to come out of their shells.
Not only will he spoil friends and lovers, but he also has a special part in his heart for family members. He will love them unconditionally (not to mention he has no qualm with incest) and make sure they’re given the attention they need, often questioning them about how their love lives are working out. It’s in that sense that he isn’t really protective of his family, and he will allow them to go out and about and do as they wish, shamelessly supportive and encouraging were they to ever find a potential partner or someone of interest. Only in the face of harm will he be so protective over them, whether or not they’re actually able to defend themselves. He doesn’t want to be too overbearing over family members, after all, and would rather they had the freedom to live their own happy lives as well as balance a good, healthy relationship with himself. He has an uncanny obsession with being called names such as papa or frère, even when it isn’t actual family calling him that.. it will at least give him the beloved feeling of being a big brother. Even close friends will be considered family to him, after all.
If anything, Francis is a superfluously dramatic person and will overreact to even the littlest of incidents. Any wall of masculinity he might be trying to keep in tact will be easily broken by some methods by which he reacts to things. He’ll cry in sessions of sloppy tears and sniffling, all while simultaneously keeping himself graceful and flamboyant at the same time. It’s like a talent, honestly. He’s very easily startled and frightened, including being spooked by people, and in that fear his voice will often get high-pitched and his screams will do well to rival any female currently in the room. And on the other hand, in a spout of love or euphoria or flat out fawning over something, his speech will pour out like he was pulled from a cheesy romance novel scene. It will seem as if he’s trying too hard to be an actor, though most of the time it isn’t even an intentional show that he’s putting on. If words are harsh enough, he will be easily offended, though at the same time he isn’t always weak with his own comebacks. It certainly isn’t uncommon for him to make enemies, and he’ll be incredibly spiteful whenever he’s faced with one. He’s jeering and often thoughtless in his insults, though at times he will know what spots to hit and where it will hurt the most.. sometimes it will seem as if he’s purposefully seeking a reason to argue with someone. And naturally, he hates when he’s proven wrong by someone.
He’s the type of person who will prefer living by his own rules, leading a casual, leisurely life based on what he likes to do. He’s humble around his home and tends to enjoy household things like cooking, cleaning and tending to gardens. He loves to write and attempt spilling all of his most endearing thoughts into words on paper, as well as express himself by other means of art; even if he isn’t always so successful. He doesn’t care much for physical exercise, except for when it’s by means of sex - the excuse he will always use - nor does he show much care for money. He prefers more simple things and simple ways of expressing affection, not by means of spending such large amounts of money on anyone.
Though it’s true he will be unable to keep his hands to himself sometimes, he is well aware of misleading terms that might be used to describe him. Although being called something such as ‘pervert’ might seem easily brushed off, it’s a rather harsh sting to the heart that goes against all he’s trying to express himself as. He doesn’t wish to be known as someone perverted or creepy in his motives, though at times he will be unable to help but think that it’s too late for him to completely change peoples’ minds.. though still, that won’t stop him from trying. Even if he might be considered misunderstood, it is true that he won’t always know when to stop when it comes to expressing his love; however, one thing he wouldn’t ever do is force himself on someone. If they really don’t want it and show that they’re unwilling, then Francis won’t push the matter, and will make sure that that person is comfortable instead. After all, he is all for love without pain and without force.
Family:
- Pierre - Father
- Véronique - Mother
- Jean - Brother [Deceased]
Brief History: Francis was born in Paris as a purebred to two Persian cats, in the heat of a rivalry between his family and one in England. He had but one older sibling he would never get to meet, a brother by the name of Jean who had been captured and killed by a British family of canis breed. The Bonnefoys had always had a history of rivalry with this particular family, but Francis's parents were reluctant to tell him anything about it and so he would never figure out what had started it. But just as that English family had been brought up to think bitterly of France and everything it stands for, Francis's parents brought him up to believe England and everything it stood for was bad as well. At a young age he knew nothing of the outside world, so he had no choice but to believe it.
Pierre and Véronique were devastated about the loss of their first born, and with the arrival of Francis they decided that they'd keep their bitter fighting with their enemy family to a minimum so that no other harm would be brought to their offspring. Francis was interested in getting to know his older brother even if he hadn't ever seen him in person, and although the subject had his mother choke up, his father would be the one to step up and tell Francis all about Jean. Francis was shown pictures (he was happy to know he had such a handsome brother, whose hair was slightly shorter than his and his eyes a lighter blue) and told about all that the boy had done, how special he was to his parents and how much he always wanted to have a little brother or sister. Francis didn't understand why Jean had to come to a fate like that, but he supposed there was nothing that could be done about it now.
Francis was spoiled by his parents who wanted to keep him protected and safe. Although they wouldn't ever forget their first born, they would make sure their second son didn't feel any less special than Jean had. He was taught his proper manners and how to stick up for himself in the outside world, how to mingle with the human community without giving away his true form and causing a row. It was evident at an early age that Francis was different than most young boys his age would be, since he had the tendency to dress in the most feminine of clothes and aspired to grow his hair out as long as he could. He didn't believe in cooties and rather he would be the one to approach other children with silly pick-up lines and attempts to be affectionate, no matter whether they were male or female. His parents never minded nor would they be upset about Francis's choice of sexuality, and in fact his mother was quite proud that her son was growing up to be such a charmer already.
By the time he was a teenager, he had grown so used to being spoiled and getting everything he wanted that he was becoming rather snobby. He expected to be treated by everyone the same way his parents treated him, and this made him rather unable to keep very many friends, especially the other boys. The lot of them would be jealous about this new kid's ability to woo and steal all the prettiest girls of the school from them. In high school Francis grew a reputation of being the class flirt, and naturally, his virginity was lost at a rather young teenage age. Some students would mistake him for a female, however, and others would make fun of him for how much he looked like a girl. He was an easy kid to pick on and make cry, but he tried his hardest to stand up for himself, saying that there was absolutely nothing wrong with looking like a girl. Although he wasn't ashamed of his appearance, he started to grow facial hair so that people would be able to better tell his gender. He loved his long hair and never wanted to cut it, after all.
He did fairly well in school, joining many clubs and after school programs.. though never any sports. He had a particular fondness for the arts and music, and French class especially. On his very last day of high school, Francis thought it would be a good idea to streak naked across the school grounds. It didn't turn out very well for him, but he took the punishment like a man. Come time for the graduation ceremony, he had no shame regarding his motives.
He made it into a Parisian college where he continued to study French language and literature, as well as the history and culture of Paris and other major provinces in the country. He adored all of it, and already had a strong sense of patriotism for his birth home. He had never visited any other country in his life, though he never had the desire too. He was happy enough where he currently lived, in the heart of Paris. He left college with his degree in French and finally found it fit to leave his parents' home and find somewhere for him to settle on his own. His parents were upset to see him go, but he had strong relations with them and promised to visit again - after all, he knew he would be living in Paris and therefore he wouldn't be too far.
He found a job as a French professor at the Sorbonne. It was a wonderful career while it lasted, for he came to know many wonderful students as interested in French culture as he was. Perhaps a little too much. He lost said job after a year or two after the principal ruled that Francis was becoming too flirtatious with some of his older students. ... Well, Professor Bonnefoy stepped out of the Sorbonne with a pout, brooding about said disbelieving and "you know nozing about love" Headmaster until he found something else to do with himself.
He stuck around Paris for a while, spending his time basking in its beauty and seeing all that it had to offer. Honestly, he has probably seen all of its buildings and monuments more than several times over his life, but he simply couldn't get enough of it. Though the reluctant idea arose that he should perhaps get out sometime and see other areas of the country for himself. He never wanted to leave Paris, but with this idea he would promise himself that he would return to the city someday, and that this wouldn't be a permanent trip away.
With new aspirations and a new life ahead, after sightseeing a few other major cities in France, he finally settled on one and moved to Banyuls-sur-Mer. The coastal city brought him new inspiration and many ideas for a new hobby he had been growing on, and that was writing. He knew it would be a while until he would achieve the status he wanted, to be famous for the writing he did, but for now he is only to remain a novice. He brews new ideas everywhere he goes in this new city, be it by the cafe or by the shore. He's found himself another job as a florist, making sure that both his work and his home remain close to the city, since he's always adored city life. He's thus far enjoyed his life and the vague memories he gets every so often of the older brother he never met, and what better a time for someone so patriotic to spend his birthday than on the Jour de la prise de la Bastille itself? He's yet to find a permanent lover (he wouldn't be able to count how many people he's slept with so far) or many friends for that matter, though he's patient and remaining calm to enjoy life as it lasts.

“Surely you remember 'ow to do zis,” Francis chimed, taking a swift step backward and guiding the Russian along with him.
Ivan almost stumbled, though in his embarrassment he was quick to settle himself, fishing through a flustered mind to brush up on what he remembered of dancing. He was adept at several styles of dance, yet it had been a while since any have been done with a partner.. nevertheless he was quick to regain his fluidity, moving in tune with each graceful move Francis made.
“Do you think I woult forget?” A small smile came with Ivan's reply, pale fingers curling gently around the shorter man's shoulder, glancing down to watch their movements. He was still careful not to take a wrong step, especially not one on the other man's feet – it felt as if he was being lead in this dance, which only made it more embarrassing with his clearly larger size.
Francis's own fingers were brushing carefully along the fellow nation's side, watching him in admiration as they went. “Per'aps I wanted to test you,” he hummed, smile only growing at each of the man's reactions. “Just making sure you aren't getting rusty.”
Ivan let out a little huff, though he made no effort to gain a controlling lead in the waltzing; he rather admired the way France danced, as he always has. Francis was so gentle in his movements, and Ivan wouldn't want to be the one to ruin that.
The dance went on for what seemed to be hours, until it seemed as if all that was left in the world was this little spot, this spot here in Paris underneath the Eiffel Tower. Their fingers were interweaved, sharing each other's warmth against the rather cool night air that chilled them, as if only giving them an excuse to stay closer. A silence ensued as they watched each other, silently appreciating the way one another danced, until a childish voice finally asked out.
“Why dit you brink me here?” Ivan paused, giving a sort of forlorn smile to his partner. “To do all off this.. jost for me.”
Francis gave an abrupt tug, interrupting their streak of graceful dancing to send Ivan stumbling a step forward. His arm tightened around the man's waist to keep him steady, hands still held as sapphire blues stared into amethyst. “Parce que,” he purred, bumping the tip of his nose against Ivan's, “If zere is anyone I would want to show my beautiful capital to, c'est toi.”
The French Ivan had learned decades back was indeed rusty, though he remembered enough to process just what Francis was telling him. His head ducked down and shook in disbelief, cheeks pooled with pink again, though any efforts to protest were immediately halted.
“Before you deny it, no need to try~” Francis pressed his lips quickly to the other pair, arms snaking around Ivan's shoulders to rest his head down on the man's shoulder. “You deserve zis more zan anyone else I know. All of zose ozer nations don't give you ze time of day, what should I 'ave to do wiz zem~? I should say it is a good zing zey all leave you be, zat only gives me ze chance to 'ave you all for my own.”
