Age: Twenty-Four
Date of Birth: September 16
Gender: Male

Appearance: Vaughan stands at roughly 176cm, or roughly 5'9". He weighs in around 58.9 kg, as well, making him tall but slim. He can come off as lanky because of this, but don't underestimate him. He's pretty sturdy and can take a hit. while he's not particularly strong, he has more will power to stay alive than most do.
He is also known for his relatively pale skin (common in his family), black hair, and amber eyes. The tattoo on his back is a symbol of his nation, but his mother seems fixed on considering it "destiny"... But that's for another description.
Distinguishing Features: A large dragon tattoo on his back and multiple scars, but nothing more.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual, but with no interest in mating/breeding
Likes:
• NATURAL REMEDIES, Vaughan is surprisingly a strong believer in natural remedies. His apartment has a lot of different plants grown for different needs. It might seem silly, but for him it's comforting.
• HISTORY, He's a bit of a nerd when it comes to history, though he rarely shows it off. He just has a great interest in it and will listen to all sorts of stories.
• FOLKLORE, Just as much as he loves history, vaughan has become intrigued by folklore and anything to do with ancient times. Especially anything involving his own family.
• HIS FAMILY, Vaughan. Loves. Family. He. Is. A. Family. Guy.[/ul]
Dislikes:
• HURTING FAMILY, Vaughan hates the idea of it, even.
• INDECISION, Being unable to do anything and being put at a standstill... That is a terrible place to be.
• BEING BULLIED, He often got bullied when he was younger, shockingly enough. It isn't completely uncommon for it to still happen.
• MEMORIES OF ELAIN, They come up often and they hit hard. Usually when he's drinking, though he still continues the act.
• BREEDING PRESSURE, Especially for his brothers who carry a very rare line... Arthur, namely, who he tries to lighten the mood with by teasing him... Probably not helping, though.
• LYING, It's not easy telling lies constantly to others, let alone those close to you.[/ul]
Interests/Hobbies:
• SINGING, Being welsh, he has some instinct buried deep within him to sing. He'll do it all day long if he can. the man just loves a good tune~.
• FIGHTING, As stated before, vaughan loves to pick a fight. He likes most things that give him an adrenaline rush, including speeding but we'll get to those tickets, later...
• DRINKING, Who loves drinking? Vaughan loves drinking![/ul]
Aspirations:
• HELP FAMILY, To relax. Take a load off. He doesn't like the pressure just as much as they don't, though he doesn't get the lectures as badly as the rest do.
• MARRIAGE & KIDS, Well, with elain it was possible... Once upon a time.[/ul]
Fears:
•
• BEING HATED, Just a general fear. No one wants to be hated, right?
• FORGETTING, About elain, that is.
• MATING, It's just become something he can't seem to get over.[/ul]
Personality:
There is nothing more proud than a welshman... Well, that's what any other country would say, but vaughan happens to be particularly proud. Not just of who he is, but of who he is related to. He takes great pride in his family and friends, regardless of their situation. For them to be alive and working hard is enough for him. he greatly appreciates all that is done. He's the sort who might just be seen as someone who is watching a baby's first steps with every move forward someone close to him makes.
While he's typically fairly calm, he can get rowdy quickly. He loves to get into fights, whether they be playful or real. Despite his normally gentle nature, his level of testosterone and just overall competitive nature forbids him from turning down a battle of any sort. This can get him into trouble often, but he means well. He's the sort who will forgive a guy for punching him in the face so long as it was a good, decent fight.
Vaughan is naturally very careful with those around him. When he isn't roughing them up for doing something stupid, he's being comforting and kind. He especially loves kids and animals and can probably be seen as an almost fatherly character. This stems from being part of a big family and, despite his age, having dealt with kids a lot.
While he can sometimes seen dense about situations, vaughan does actually take great care to pay attention to others. He will usually do some stupid things to make people feel better, even, though it can sometimes lead to worsening things. He does it all in the best interest, though!
Vaughan has always been the sort to keep looking up. Despite his situations, he always tries to make the best of them even when he knows there's no way out. No reason to frown and drag others down with you, right? at least, that's what he says. He's hiding a lot of stuff, but being naturally optimistic makes it a little easier to smile.
When he sets his mind to it then he can get any job done! Don't underestimate this man. He'll set you straight in no time. Whether it's something smile like paperwork or something big like... well, yeah! He takes care to do everything to the best of his abilities.
When being flirted with, Vaughan will let it slip right over his head without a second though... But get him to realize it and he'll freeze up and turn a bright red! Otherwise, he's really good at flirting. Just not being flirted with~.
He is also very family-oriented. Vaughan strives to keep his family ties secure, even if it hurts every time he sees them under pressure or upset and he can't do much about it. He just wants to have something to hold onto, even though he knows it's about to slip away very soon...
Vaughan can be stupid, and this is one of those times he'll go to great lengths. This crazy kid would go against the world to protect his family, even if it means putting his own life on the line. That's just the sort of person he is.
Finally, perhaps he seems like a derp, but vaughan can actually be very intelligent. He has a way of getting things done, whether legal or illegal. He's pretty clever when it comes to that sort of thing... Though he prefers the entirely legal route... But sometimes you just want to download that one song.

Brief History:
Vaughan Rees was born on Septemer 16 to Aeron Rees and an unknown Kirkland man. His mother would always boast about how she'd met such a one as him, but never spoke much about him other than that... Perhaps she had been hoping for a better child. One a little stronger and not so weak... Maybe one like the child born a year later? Yes, that dragon... If only that had been him.
And oh, he got an earful every time about it. His birthdays, any good jobs or deeds... No, none were good enough because he was not good enough. He had to make up for it she'd always tell him. She was so intent on making it happen... That if she couldn't have that powerful child, then she wanted that perfect grandchild.
Vaughan, however, always had a different idea. He understood, as he grew older, the pressures in this family of their strong line... or whatever. Really, he just felt bad for his younger sibling, as well as the rest who ever felt it. This whole thing really wasn't all that fair, and so he attempted to find love elsewhere...
And he did! But this entire "affair" was kept tightly under wraps... Vaughan tried keeping it from everyone so his mother wouldn't catch wind, but afterward his mother kept it a secret so as not to be embarrassed.
Vaughan had fallen in love with an ape. A human. A being who could never really see him for what he was, not that he had cared at the time.
But to live that way was a bit lonely, admittedly. There was a barrier between how well they really knew each other... Or, rather, how well she knew him... But that didn't deter him.
The only thing that could, really... was her sudden death.
It had just been a simple cold... At least, that's how it started out. Things only went downhill from there without much warning, vaughan watching helplessly as she grew thinner, weaker, and more frail with every passing day.
This had a bit of a lasting effect on him, and with every push from his mother to simply breed with family, he pushed back even further.
It wasn't long until he'd finally hit his limit, and the resulting consequences nearly got him arrested.
Without hesitation he moved. He left everything he'd previously owned behind and simply left with what money he had earned...
Where to? Well, that would be here, now.

No one could have picked a better spot... That might be an extreme over-exaggeration considering no spot was better than the last. It was one after the other searching for the cure to this impending doom set on the man's shoulders. Like a suffocating wait to see an end you already knew was going to be bad. There was no good way to describe all the things going through this smiling man's mind, right now. Things like, Could this be it?, Can I start over?, and Will everything be alright?.
Vaughan Rees, son of Aeron Rees. He was the heir to something grand. He was going to be the leader of a new age back home. Everything was set for him and there has never been any other life he's known. To speak of someone like that might seem strange, but no one came and no one left. Outsiders stood at the borders and residents remained for fear of what was beyond the life they've come to build. There were stranger things out there, and then why leave? Water, food, and other supplies came from outside. There was no reason to leave when it came to you, right? This was life. This was all the people knew.
So yes, it was a bit overwhelming when Vaughan took his first steps out of his little world. In comparison to the rest of this apparently rather green planet, home was very cold... Everything was uniform back there, but out here it was often times sporadic. Nothing was predictable. This wasn't life... How could people live not knowing what exactly to do? What their future was going to be like? How could they all live in such a world without the advancements of technology? Trusting on the bounty of nature and her cruel whims...
At least, those were the thoughts often pressed upon his people... While Vaughan was no different, perhaps being the one to decide it was time to leave opened up his mind just a little bit. He observed rather than criticized. He watched the people living outside and found it to be... interesting. Not calm, not safe, not expected, but there was something about living in such a realm that felt... free.
Now, however, was not the time to dwell on such thoughts. The boat was coming to the do--... Well, what was left of the docks.
Vaughan narrowed his eyes and stared hard at the bare bones of what remained of most of it, wondering what could have happened. A fire was the only explanation, but how had it started? Ah, but again not the time to think about such things. He could finally get off this constantly rocking monster and remove himself from the side of the ship. He was well done with removing the contents of his stomach into the ocean and ready for some adventure! Though the charred remains weren't a good sign, he thought, to a new beginning here.
It was quite normal, by now, for him to be slathering toothpaste on a toothbrush in the middle of public, scrubbing the foul taste from his mouth as he grabbed his only--.. Oh, right, he hadn't even boarded with a bag. Oh well. Back to the safety of land, a slight foam about his mouth as he continued bitterly removing the memories of a ride across a body of water bigger than he'd ever seen.
With a quick motion he spit the foam out into the water just as he was getting to the ground... Upon which he promptly sat, leaning against whatever he could find until his "sea legs" stopped turning to noodles and causing him to stagger along like some drunk.
... Speaking of which, he reached into his jacket pocket to pull out a flask, taking a good swig of what was left in there. Not much, really, but--
And he coughed, making a sour face at the taste... Not even alcohol tasted good just after brushing your teeth. How promising to this new adventure in this new land.
